Something About Change

Finding Beauty in Every Transition

Rethinking Loyalty in 2025

I am tired of being loyal; this commitment isn’t fun. At the beginning of each year, I am excited, but by the end of the year, I find myself sitting in my recliner, wondering how it happened and whether it will ever change. Well, I can promise this year that I’m chasing happiness.

I will not fall for the we are putting together a championship team discussion this year. I will not stand ideally by as the factory of sadness continues to disappoint. I won’t be one of those cardiac kids watching a close fourth quarter go down in flames.

In 2025, I’m following players I like. I am entering the year with the same joy as fantasy league players. Any game can bring me happiness. Because I’m outside doesn’t mean the Cleveland Browns won’t have a special place in my heart. But it’s time to show them the same loyalty that they showed to their fan base.

If they can ship away our favorite players, we can ship away some of the support. If they put the same energy into building a team as they did into a new stadium, we would already have a dynasty.

I look forward to all the possibilities 2025 holds. Who’s your favorite team, and what are some of their traditions? I’m for the streets this year and ready to experience it all.
